Get HMO Licence (gethmolicence.co.uk) is operated by Patrick Roper ("we", "us"). We provide document preparation and application-handling services for HMO licence applications in England. For any privacy question or request, contact us via the enquiry form on the homepage.
When you submit our enquiry form we collect: your name, phone number, property postcode, occupancy details, optionally your email address, and a technical field recording how you found us (for example, which advert or search keyword). We use this to respond to your enquiry, check your council's licensing requirements, and provide a quote. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests (responding to an enquiry you initiated). If you instruct us, we collect further information needed to prepare your application (property details, certificates), on the lawful basis of performing our contract with you.
Enquiries that don't become clients are deleted within 12 months. Client records are kept for 6 years after the engagement ends, in line with professional record-keeping requirements.
Under UK GDPR you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, object to or restrict our processing, and request portability. Contact us via the form to exercise any of these. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
We don't sell your data, send marketing emails you haven't asked for, or share your details with anyone except as needed to prepare your application (for example, a floor-plan provider, with your knowledge).
